The patterns of political, social, economic and cultural relationships, in addition to the growth of innovative technology, have changed with the opening of frontiers across south east Europe in recent years. New challenges have to be met as the area undergoes changes, many of which could not be foreseen. Some regions in south east Europe have discovered a need to re-orientate themselves, will other adapt positively and confidently.

South-east Europe is the most diverse group of countries on the continent, with the largest amount of trans-national co-operation to be seen, and many differences in economic power, competitiveness and the development of innovative technology. European Union-funded bodies, such as the Enterprise Europe Network, which aims to inform businesses of new regulations and initiatives, while providing raised awareness of business opportunities in the divergent region of south east Europe for those operating within the field of innovative technology. Bodies such as this also provide help for UK businesses to find business partners in south east Europe and research new markets.

The immediate future for companies involved with innovative technology and broadband companies in south east Europe has never been more vibrant, and there has never been more opportunity for businesses in this field, as well as those looking to invest in them.
